This tip is great for reducing the weight of your pack, without needing to spend lots of money. For most hikers who want to conserve weight, the total weight of our packs rarely exceed 35 pounds. By removing the metal frame from your pack, you can save weight, and not compromise the structure of the pack so long as you don’t put too much weight in it. Be sure to test out what a good weight would be for your pack without the frame before going hiking. Make sure to check back in next week for another tip!
