Inputs and outputs provide continuous feedback to the system, for example good or poor health, or business success or failure).

The fact that psychology is taught and utilised in many different fields emphasises that psychology is a necessary support discipline in many areas. 1 I-O Psychology concerns human behaviour at work. Psychology develops basic knowledge, concepts and research findings into theories. Through research, these concepts and theories are accepted, discarded or changed.
